Print media

Print media has been my first approach to professional design. An ensemble of creativity and technique that becomes more and more fascinating by increasing the complexity of the project. Learning all the rules, materials and the different technical requirements, and then play with and break them. Working on every project as a whole, designing each single detail. And then bringing it to life like an artisan.

SMALL FORMAT

A beautiful aspect of my profession is the opportunity to picture and translate a customer’s request into an image or trait. Designing business cards, leaflets or other small formats gave me the opportunity to work on something new and different each day. After a morning session in front of a screen, usually the afternoon was dedicated to the “dirty job”: from setting up the machines to finishing the product. A cup of tea darling!

LARGE FORMAT

Did you know all maps and blueprints follow the same folding rules? Large formats require precision and technical ability due to their cost. Constant attention throughout the project. The job wasn’t finished after the printing though: advertising banners required posting, large canvases framing.
